Senior Cricket
At the club we strive to introduce talented junior players from the age of 14 into the senior ranks. This is only done when the "junior" player has proved himself to be ready for more serious cricket. The junior players have on many occasions prove that they are ready for the 'big action' and have won many games for the club's senior teams.
The Heidelberg Cricket Club maintains three senior teams:
The Sunday 1st team plays in the Presidents League of the Gauteng Cricket Board (GCB) league. This team is the flagship of the club and consists mainly of senior players.
The Sunday 2nd team plays in Division 7 of the Gauteng Cricket Board (GCB) league. This team consist mainly of junior players with 3 senior players. This division is mainly to get the junior players ready for the more competitive Sunday leagues.
The Saturday 1st team plays in Division 4 of the Gauteng Cricket Board (GCB) league. This team consists of senior players and high school players.
The Saturday 2nd team plays in Division 8 of the Gauteng Cricket Board (GCB) league. (This team is mainly used to introduce new high school "junior" players into the senior ranks)
